The Investment Bank of Schleswig-Holstein, the central funding institution of the state of Schleswig-Holstein, advises, promotes and finances companies, private individuals and municipalities in Schleswig-Holstein. The contracting authority is a legal entity under public law and holds a banking license from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). The state of Schleswig-Holstein is the sponsor and sole owner of the contracting authority. It employs approximately 900 active staff members.

The aim is to introduce a system for the structured recording, linking, monitoring and evaluation of information such as NFR risks, controls, measures and regulatory requirements. This should increase the transparency and traceability of the corresponding 2-LoD processes and provide an overarching, consolidated view of risks, measures and their interdependencies within the organisation. The system should support the specialist departments and central control functions in the implementation, monitoring and further development of governance, risk and compliance activities.
