Coordination of Sustainable Construction for the demolition of the Viktoriabad and the Stadtmuseum in Bonn, and the new construction of a university library on the existing basement levels with simultaneous preservation of the listed facade facing the Belderberg. In connection with the planned core renovation of the main building of the University of Bonn, additional areas are required to continue to create the best possible conditions for research and teaching. The Viktoriakarree site is located in the inner city of Bonn directly opposite the east wing of the main building of the University of Bonn and thus in a prominent location. Due to this location, the Viktoriakarree plays a special role in the urban fabric. The areas at the Viktoriakarree are to adequately complement the main building. A large part of the building will in future accommodate libraries that are currently housed in the main building. The university wants to invite the urban society to encounter and exchange with an inviting and open concept and arouse curiosity for science and research. Planned on the Viktoriakarree is the erection of a new library building, the accommodation of the Kulturforum as well as additional ancillary functions such as a bicycle garage and a catering unit.
