Germany – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – Umgestaltung Neustädter Markt

Stadt HildesheimGermanyPublished on Nov 04, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The City of Hildesheim, the Hildesheim Sewerage (SEHi) and the energy supplier Hildesheim (EVI) are planning extensive renovation measures for the traffic and open spaces and for the supply and disposal infrastructure of the Hildesheimer Neustadt. The renovation measures include the renovation of the wastewater or mixed water channels, the expansion of the heat supply by means of district heating (engineering structures and district heating are not part of this tender), climate adaptation measures and the redesign of the traffic and open spaces within the renovation area "Neustadt" or as part of urban development funding in the "Lively Centres - Neustadt" programme. To make the Neustadt fit for the future for the next few decades, the redesign and renovation of the Neustädter Markt plays a crucial role. In the densely built-up quarter of the Neustadt, the Neustädter Markt, as the central square and hub of the Neustadt, already represents an important functional and social resource. The future transformation tasks, such as dealing with climate change (climate protection and climate change adaptation), the mobility transition, the requirements of inclusion, and the sustainable improvement of the quality of stay, require an integrated approach and innovative solutions, as well as multifunctional use of space. Therefore, the City of Hildesheim plans to redesign and renovate the area as part of the funding programme. Based on the "Integrated Urban Development Concept Hildesheimer Neustadt" (ISEK Neustadt) and the "Mobility and Climate Adaptation Concept for the Hildesheimer Neustadt", a construction-ready plan is to be developed.
