Description

Redesignation/Creation of a security control point in the departure area of Munich Airport Terminal 1 E05, public area component No. 111.04. Location of the construction project: Munich Airport Terminal 1 C Siko Nord, Level 05 Axes W13-W17 / S06-S10. Contracting Authority: Flughafen München GmbH Nordallee 25 85356 Munich Airport. Construction measures: As part of the planned measure, a redesignation is to take place on the existing area of Emirates. The redesignation serves to create a new security control point (Siko C Nord) in the departure area of Munich Airport in the public area of Terminal 1, Level 05, component No. 111.04. In the planned measure, the existing premises of the Emirates Lounge will be demolished to the shell state. Subsequently, the conversion to a security control point with new CT scanners will take place. This measure serves to further increase the capacity of the security checks and to adapt to the current security standard. In addition to the actual control lanes, the existing ancillary rooms (i.e. office, stay, smoker) will also be renovated and adapted. The area to be renovated is located between the southern staircase in axis S10, the existing elevator No. 111.04 05 985, the existing elevator in axis W16/S06 and the smoke-tight separation between the waiting area (i.e. here the transfer corridor) and the public area (see attached plan extract). None of the load-bearing and stiffening components, nor the outer walls, will be changed. The requirements for the components, as well as the escape routes, will be redefined in a fire protection statement. Due to the retention of the static system, a building permit is considered sufficient in coordination between the FMG and the Landratsamt Erding (LRA ED). In total, the three nearest necessary stairs (in necessary staircases) remain available for the area. Security and regulatory requirements: The implementation is carried out in accordance with the Aviation Security Act (LuftSiG) and EU Regulation (EU) 2015/1998. Coordination takes place with the Aviation Security Authority, Federal Police and Flughafen München GmbH. Environmental and noise aspects: The construction work is carried out with minimal dust and noise development. Waste is disposed of properly and separately. The work is carried out exclusively during approved terminal working hours. Description of use: Due to changed operational requirements and the adaptation of passenger flows at Munich Airport, the former Emirates Lounge is to be put to a new use. The aim of the measure is the redesignation and structural adaptation of the premises to a security control unit in accordance with the valid requirements of the Aviation Security Authorities (LuftSiG, EU Regulations and specifications of the airport operator FMG). The area is therefore to be used in the future as a security control point for passengers and hand luggage. The unit includes control lines, waiting areas, staff rooms, rest areas and technical zones. Accessibility: The construction site is redesignated to a public area. This has already been done by the FMG. Access to and from the construction site is via construction site entrances/exits at the Munich North Ring (Erdinger Allee). Access to the construction site is possible from 07:00, the closure of the construction site gates by the FMG security service takes place from 18:00.
