Germany – Expert witness services – Schachtanlage Asse II: Sachverständiger der atomrechtlichen Aufsicht nach § 20 AtG: Begutachtung von Fragestellungen in Bezug auf die Strahlenschutzinstrumentierung

The subject of the contract is the expert support of the BASE in the nuclear supervision of the Asse II mine in accordance with § 20 AtG in the field of radiation protection instrumentation. The services include in particular the expert examination and evaluation of issues related to the radiation protection instrumentation of the Asse II mine. This includes in particular: - support in nuclear and radiation protection procedures for changing the radiation protection instrumentation and the associated operational rules, - the expert evaluation of changes, particularly with regard to their significance in the sense of nuclear law, - the examination and evaluation of submitted documents and data with regard to consistency, traceability and technical correctness, - the accompaniment of recurring inspections of plant parts, systems and components of the radiation protection instrumentation including the leak testing of enclosed radiation sources, - the preparation of expert reports, inspection reports, statements and protocols on the respective inspection results and - support of the nuclear supervision in matters that require an inspection or assessment on site. The radiation protection instrumentation includes in particular facilities for area dose and dose rate monitoring, surface contamination measurements, personal dosimetry and incorporation monitoring as well as room air, exhaust air and emission monitoring. To perform the tasks, in particular to accompany recurring inspections, regular on-site appointments and inspections of the Asse II mine will be necessary during the contract period.
