Disposal + Recycling Zurich (ERZ) wants to realise a new, interactive educational centre focusing on circular economy and water protection at the Hagenholz site. The educational centre (working title) will demonstrate and make tangible what ERZ does overall for the city of Zurich and, in particular, in the areas of environment, circular economy and water protection. The focus will be on imparting practical knowledge to visitors and encouraging behavioural changes in the areas of waste/circular economy and water protection. The rough concept envisages an interactive, modern and modularly adaptable educational centre. One part of the educational centre (ground floor) is to be designed as a city walk. This will showcase the diverse services provided by ERZ for a liveable Zurich and impart knowledge about circular economy, rainwater management and water protection. The second part (upper floor) will guide visitors through a typical Zurich apartment and show what scope for action visitors themselves have to contribute to a liveable Zurich. This ensures that the transfer of knowledge to the visitors' reality of life and thus also a potential change in behaviour in everyday life is promoted. The concept is designed to be modular, stations on the city walk and in the apartment can be adapted or exchanged if necessary. Information about current ERZ projects can be easily and quickly updated. The stations are self-explanatory and do not require a guided tour. Virtual persons ("Companions") accompany visitors through the exhibition. The exhibition will be implemented in existing premises at the Hagenholz site. It will be necessary to dismantle the current installation, certain walls and floor structures, make adjustments to the entrance and install new railings so that the premises are available in the form required for the interior fitting of the exhibition. This dismantling is not part of this tender, but will be planned and carried out by an architectural firm commissioned by ERZ, which will also obtain the building permit.
