Explanation: This order involves the supply of custom-labelled and numbered 12mL flat-bottomed glass tubes for collecting [C13]-CO2, H2, CH4 and total CO2 for breath tests (e.g. urea breath test). The numbering ranges from 0 (white cap), 00 (white cap), 1 (blue cap) to 16 (blue cap). The tubes must be compatible with the existing isotoperatiomassaspectrometer “Automated Breath CO2 Analyzer (ABCA)” from Sercon. Therefore, the glass tube must have dimensions of 101 mm height (vial + cap) and a vial diameter of 15.5 mm. The labels must include a number, the batch number (assigned by the manufacturer), the text “breath test” and the UZ Leuven logo (minimum black and white print). The tubes must be CE-IVD certified. The contracting authority estimates a probable quantity of 150,000 custom-labelled glass tubes per year for 4 years. The contracting authority places 1 order per year for the estimated annual quantity required. The requested quantity per number varies due to the different quantities per breath test and compositions per breath test. - Composition 1: 0, 00, 1 to 4 - Composition 2: 0, 00, 1 to 8 - Composition 3: 0, 00, 1 to 12 - Composition 4: 0, 00, 1 to 16 This translates to the following estimated quantities: - 0, 00, 1 to 4: 15,000 of each number (i.e. 15,000 tubes of number 0, 15,000 tubes of number 00, 15,000 tubes of number 1, …) - 5 to 8: 12,000 of each number - 9 to 12: 2,000 of each number - 13 to 16: 1,000 of each number If the total quantity of tubes required in certain periods is greater than the annual order, the tenderer may be able to provide the contracting authority with alternatives to supply the necessary quantity of tubes, for example, by offering unlabelled tubes or vacutainers. Furthermore, 5,000 non-vacuum, unlabelled glass tubes with a different coloured cap for quality controls must be available on demand (estimated quantity of approximately 1,250 per year).
