Slovakia – Construction work – R2 Šaca – Košické Oľšany, I. úsek

The purpose of the proposed construction is to relieve the currently overloaded transport network in the vicinity of the city of Košice and within the city itself from transit traffic, and at the same time, by creating a south-eastern bypass of the city with several new connections to the existing transport system, to redistribute source and destination traffic, thereby relieving the currently overloaded city entrances. This will increase the fluidity, speed and safety of traffic and result in a significant improvement in transport-operational conditions for transit traffic. The subject of the contract is defined in detail in Volume 1 to Volume 5 of these SP.
