Germany – Canteen and catering services – Versorgungspartnerschaft für die Patientenversorgung, die Mitarbeiterverköstigung und Besucher-/Gästeversorgung

The Saarland University Medical Centre (UKS) currently operates a comprehensive catering service for four different user groups:

- Patient catering: Currently organised via a cook-chill process, with food procurement and substantial parts of service delivery handled by an external service provider. The existing supply contract expires on 01.01.2027.

- Staff catering: Currently managed in-house via an in-house kitchen operation.

- Visitor catering: Operation of several bistros on a spatially highly fragmented campus. Hot food supply is currently provided from the staff catering kitchen.

- (Optional) Catering: Catering services including room booking on campus for events, training sessions, etc.

In light of the expiring framework agreement on 01.01.2027 for patient catering, it is necessary to re-tender the catering services from 02.01.2027. The catering services will be awarded in two lots. Lot 1 covers patient and staff catering only, Lot 2 covers guest catering and optional catering services only. Further details are set out in the information memorandum and the service description.
