The subject of the procurement is the shelving systems and related services for the National Museum and other sites of the Finnish Heritage Agency ("Procurement Unit") in Vantaa, including the Collection and Conservation Centre ("Koke") and the National Museum. Shelving systems are needed for storing the collections of the Procurement Unit and its partners. The Collection and Conservation Centre in Vantaa has been equipped with various shelving systems from 2016 to 2025. Some of these shelving systems are being partially renewed, and in addition, the Procurement Unit needs to procure new shelving systems to supplement or replace some of the old ones. New shelving systems will also be procured for the National Museum as part of its renovation and expansion. In addition to the above, the Procurement Unit reserves the right to renew or supplement shelving systems at other sites if necessary. However, the primary need for shelving systems is at Koke. The procurement includes the design, implementation, and installation of the shelving systems. The sub-areas of the procurement can be tendered either together or separately within the dynamic purchasing system. To the extent that the Procurement Unit orders services related to the design of new shelving systems from a supplier approved for the dynamic purchasing system, the supplier must design the plans so that they do not contain any exclusive elements or other restrictions that would prevent other operators approved for the dynamic purchasing system from offering a shelving system according to the plan if they wish. Suppliers will always have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the premises before submitting a bid as part of the internal tenders within the dynamic purchasing system. Bids for shelving systems must always be submitted ready for installation on site, with installation materials removed, and the shelving systems must be guaranteed for 5 years. Bids must specify possible costs for lifting equipment and machinery related to installation work. Suppliers may use trucks and lifts available at the site, if they are not in use for other purposes. The shelving systems are primarily implemented in environmentally controlled spaces, where the conditions vary between -25 and +20°C and 25-55% humidity. The shelving systems are mainly made of metal, but may also contain wood, plastic, or fabric elements, for example in the shelving materials or fastening systems. The supplier must also ensure, if necessary, what materials and surface treatments are allowed in the structures. The materials must be such that they do not cause any harm to the museum objects, and for example, no harmful gases are emitted from the materials to the museum objects. The shelving systems are designed and sized according to the objects to be stored. The size of the objects varies from small items the size of a thimble to vehicles and boats over 15m3 in size. The collections include, for example: - Maritime Museum collections: from boats to engines and technical equipment - Archaeological collections: from ceramics to swords - Art collections: from oil paintings to graphics and sculptures - Cultural history collections: from sleighs to rugs - Photographic collections: negatives and prints - Archive materials
