Spain – Operation of a sewage plant – Contratación de los servicios de explotación, retirada de lodos y conservación y mantenimiento de la EDAR de Villalonquejar, para la Sociedad Municipal Aguas de Burgos S.A., mediante procedimiento, abierto sometido a regulación armonizada.

The subject of the contract is the provision of the services of operation, conservation, maintenance and repairs of the wastewater treatment plant of Villalonquejar, the removal and management of the sludge produced at the facility. The Contractor will therefore be solely responsible for the purification processes of the WWTP under its charge and for compliance with the conditions required in the discharge permit, as well as for compliance with the applicable legislation regarding the application of sludge from the purification of urban wastewater in agriculture. The contract includes, as a differentiated service, the concepts of "Major Repairs" and Initial Adaptation Investment, as, although they are maintenance services, they can be considered investment, and therefore require separate accounting and a different VAT percentage to be applied to the rest of the service provision contract.
