Finland – Sewage services – HUSK Viemäreiden ja kaivojen loka- ja huoltotöiden hankinta

HUS Kiinteistöt Oy is tendering for the procurement of maintenance and cleaning services for sewers and pits required in the hospitals and other facilities of the HUS Group within its operational area. Such facilities (hospitals) are located mainly in the areas of the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Hyvinkää, Lohja, Porvoo, and Raasepori, but operations are also conducted on a smaller scale in other locations. This procurement includes, among other tasks, the following in accordance with the accompanying tender documents:

- Sand trap and stormwater pit emptying and cleaning, as well as waste transport to a waste management facility

- Grease trap pit emptying and cleaning with high-pressure flushing, as well as waste transport to a waste management facility

- Oil trap pit emptying and cleaning, as well as waste transport to a waste management facility

- Sewer opening and cleaning with a high-pressure flushing vehicle, as well as thawing

- Emptying and cleaning of line drying systems

- Sewer plugs and bypass pumping

- Emptying and pressure washing of pumps and pump pits

- Sewer inspections

For some sites, regular emptying can be agreed upon, which are initially implemented according to the daily price list. Regular emptying and their schedules will be agreed separately with the Purchaser. The tender is divided into sub-areas by healthcare districts:

1. HYKS healthcare district (Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo)

2. Hyvinkää healthcare district (Hyvinkää, Ohkola)

3. Porvoo healthcare district

4. Lohja and Western Uusimaa healthcare district (Raasepori)

Two (2) suppliers will be selected for each sub-area, unless fewer acceptable bids are received. The contract period is two (2) years. The contract includes the option for one (1) extension of two (2) years. The quantity of services to be procured during the contract period, as well as the sites where services are procured, may vary. The Purchaser is not committed to specific procurement quantities. During the contract period, the Purchaser may order services similar to the procurement subject within the sub-areas at the agreed prices or through mini-tendering (simplified tendering). In procurements below the national threshold (individual work orders), the Purchaser may procure the required work package from the supplier deemed best and most suitable for the situation. In this case, the supplier's offered prices will be used. In procurements above the national threshold, a mini-tender will be organised among the sub-area suppliers. It is possible to procure other products, rental equipment and machinery, or special expertise related to the procurement subject from the contract suppliers. The same principle as the prices given in the tender must be followed in the pricing of other products, rental equipment and machinery, or special expertise.
