As part of the new construction of a cycle path on the L 460 between Schulenburg and the B 3, a comprehensive faunistic survey must be carried out. Additionally, the biotope types in the survey area are to be recorded. The results of the surveys are to be compiled and explained in a specialist report on species protection. The biotope type survey is to be carried out on a comprehensive basis according to the Lower Saxony mapping key (DRACHENFELS 2021) at a scale of 1:1,000. The biotope types are to be determined down to the level of the sub-units. If necessary, subsidiary codes and significant additional features are to be recorded. The evaluation of the biotope types is to be carried out according to DRACHENFELS (2018). The recorded biotope types are to be presented in text and map. In addition, protected biotopes and habitat types of Annex I of the Habitats Directive (LRT) are to be recorded. The area of the planned construction site is to be investigated for endangered ferns and flowering plants according to the Red List, including species on the warning list, and plant species of Annexes II and IV of the Habitats Directive. Corresponding occurrences are to be presented in text and map. As part of the faunistic surveys, particular attention must be paid to breeding and resting birds, potential bat roosts, and amphibian spawning sites due to potential migratory relationships. In addition, the survey area is to be investigated for occurrences of the European hamster. The report "Performance description for faunistic surveys in connection with landscape planning specialist reports and species protection report", final report 2014 (FE 02.332/2011/LRB, ed. BMVI), is to be used as the technical basis for the faunistic services. The term "method sheets" refers to the method sheets contained in this report. Since the final route of the cycle path has not yet been definitively determined, the planning area is to be provisionally expanded. The survey area comprises a corridor on both sides along the Landesstraße 460 with a width of approx. 50 m.
