The Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) is planning the construction of a new signal box. As the capacity of the existing signal box is insufficient for extensions and transformations in the southwest section of the rail network, CFL plans to build a new, modern signal box in Pétange. The project is part of an expansion and modernisation programme aimed at improving the performance and reliability of the infrastructure. This call for tender concerns the construction of a main building and an annex, in gross works closed and covered, as well as the creation of new crossings and inspection chambers within the railway right of way. The works will take into account the constraints related to railway operations. Particular attention will be paid to adherence to deadlines, work safety and quality of execution. The project aims for an environmental certification of the DGNB Gold type.
