To ensure a secure and economical supply of traction power in the Ruhr area and its surroundings, an additional feed-in point into the traction power network is required. This additional feed-in point will be created with the new construction of the converter station (Urw) Hagen-Lennhof. In addition to feeding into the 110kV-16,7Hz traction power network, the Urw Hagen-Lennhof will also be a network coupling element to the 110kV-50Hz network of Westnetz / Amprion.
