The subject of the procurement in the service provider register are services intended for persons with disabilities. The services subject to the procurement are based on the Disability Services Act. The services may also be arranged on the basis of the Social Welfare Act (1301/2024) or the Act on Support for Personal Assistance (937/2005). As part of the services, there may be health care services based on the Health Care Act (1326/2010). The procurement is implemented as a flexible electronic service provider register (hereinafter the service provider register), which means a procedure designed by the South Karelia well-being area (hereinafter the procuring entity) in accordance with the principles of the Procurement Act for the procurement of the services that are the subject of the procurement. The procuring entity carries out internal competitions within the classes of the service provider register as needed. In the establishment phase, the following classes are opened: CLASS 1 Home Care for persons with disabilities and personal assistance services for children with disabilities CLASS 2 Short-term care for persons with disabilities and personal assistance services for children with disabilities. The procuring entity may later add classes to be opened by correction notice in accordance with the description of the register.
