In the context of the operation to construct industrial buildings (modular indoor substations and metal-clad substations), the quantity surveyor acts as an Assistant to the Contracting Authority (AMO) to support the Contracting Authority in the techno-economic analysis of the project. The mission includes, in particular: - analysing and evaluating the relevance of the structure/cost ratios, proposed by the architect, in relation to the needs expressed in the tender specifications (excavation, foundations, structural work, finishing work, etc.), in light of the Contracting Authority's objectives; - providing reasoned opinions and recommendations aimed at optimising construction costs, while ensuring compliance with the technical constraints related to the installed equipment (electrical equipment, technical rooms, access, safety, etc.); - incorporating the environmental and contextual constraints of the site (limited land area, natural risks, landscaping, regulatory and urban constraints, neighbourhood, etc.) into the economic analyses; - proposing, if necessary, technical or constructive variants that allow for better overall economic optimisation of the operation, without degrading the expected performance and service levels.
