City of Oostende is currently using a facility management information system (FMIS) as a central building reporting point, which is intensively used by all city employees. The software forms the basis for the operation of many services within the Facilities Management Department and contains a lot of information, both in terms of building management and the management of office supplies, cleaning products, first aid materials, and the like. The current contract ends provisionally on 31 December 2026. For the commissioning of a potentially new system, the existing data from the current programme, which will remain in use until then, must be transferred and linked to the system. The potential contractor must be able to start the transition process in advance for this purpose. During the transition to a potentially new system, the uninterrupted operation of the services must be ensured when transferring data and linking to a new package. This intervention therefore deserves the necessary care and dialogue with the potential new contractor, who must be able to provide the possibilities for this contract based on their own expertise.
