Description

At the Jülich site, the Future Fuels (FF) Institute, established in 2020, is being expanded. The aim of the project is the successful establishment and operation of a research and technology transfer centre that enables the development and production of defossilised fuels in the Rhineland region. For the planned research tasks, additional space in the form of laboratory areas is required, as well as an extension of the existing "Synlight" building to include a pre-assembly facility for the development and testing of technologies for the production of these fuels. The "Synlight" facility includes an artificial sun, which is used to irradiate and analyse various test setups under controlled conditions. To implement the project, a general planning contract is to be tendered, which should, according to the German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers, cover the planning for the following services: - Building and Interior Design - Technical Equipment Design (all systems) including laboratory design - Structural Design including Structural Fire Protection - Accessibility Concept - Building Physics (Thermal Protection, Building Acoustics and Room Acoustics) - External Works Design including Drainage Design and Flood Proofing - Traffic Areas Design.
