The listed Catholic Youth Hostel in Oberwesel is to be renovated and extended so that it can continue to be used as a town and assembly hall. The building was constructed in 1923/24 and is located in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site. While preserving the historical dimensions of the Catholic Youth Hostel, the building is to be renovated as a general town and assembly building, both structurally and through building services equipment, to bring it up to the current standard of building technology and thus ensure its functionality and economical maintenance for the future. The Catholic Youth Hostel will be renovated and extended by two two-story extensions. The contract for object planning services for buildings and outdoor facilities, advertised as Lot 1, has already been awarded. It is currently at the stage of building permit planning.
