A dynamic purchasing system (DPS) is similar to a supplier pool where there is no limit to the number of suppliers that can be qualified. The application for qualification to the DPS is available throughout the validity period of the DPS. Suppliers can come and go during the validity period. Being qualified in a DPS does not mean that there is a contractual relationship; it is only when a procurement is made in the DPS and a contract is signed that a contractual relationship arises. This DPS is divided into four (4) different sub-sectors. Suppliers apply to qualify for the sub-sector/category where they wish to deliver products and/or services.
