Germany – Public road transport services – Nutzung von 25 Stellplätzen im öffentlichen Straßenraum für den Betrieb mit stationsbasiertem Carsharing im Stadtgebiet Mainz

Within the framework of the "Further development of carsharing" project, the state capital of Mainz is providing 25 parking spaces in the public road space for the operation of station-based carsharing. A special permit for the use of the road for a period of 6 years will be granted for the use of the parking spaces. The parking spaces will be awarded to a carsharing provider through a uniform selection procedure. The carsharing provider is obliged to operate a carsharing offer on all 25 parking spaces permanently throughout the entire duration of the special permit for the use of the road. In doing so, the carsharing provider acts economically independently. It bears the economic risk of the enterprise and performs the administration and dispatch. It is responsible for effective marketing of the carsharing offer. The billing of the carsharing offer must be carried out exactly, based on the actual booked time intervals and the kilometres driven. The carsharing must be exclusively station-based - free-floating or station-flexible operation is not permitted.
