Germany – Architectural services for buildings – Ersatzneubau der Maximilian-Kolbe-Schule in Löningen

The district of Cloppenburg intends to rebuild the existing Maximilian-Kolbe-Schule in Löningen as a special needs school focusing on intellectual development due to changed requirements and increasing pupil numbers. The new building is to be constructed in Löningen at the Linderner Straße site (between St-Florian-Straße and Blumenstraße). The plots of land to be developed are currently used for agricultural purposes as arable land. No land-use plan is currently available for this area, but urban planning framework conditions will be specified by the city of Löningen for the architectural competition. Already in the early planning phase, ambitious targets for energy-efficient and sustainable construction are to be taken into account. The aim of the competition is to find a suitable contractor (architect / landscape architect) for the further planning services through alternative and optimised concepts that equally meet the different requirements – in particular design, functionality, user comfort, economy, resources and energy.
