Germany – Architectural and related services – Fritz-Haber-Institut der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft, Berlin Umbau und Erweiterung Gebäude T: Objektplanung Gebäude
Description
The Fritz-Haber-Institute (FHI) was founded in 1911 as the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Institute for Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry in Berlin-Dahlem and was incorporated into the MPG in 1953. The focus of its research activities is the fundamental understanding of elementary processes in physical chemistry and thus the relationship between structure, reactivity and dynamics at surfaces, interfaces, nanostructures, molecules and clusters. Currently, there is a significant shortage of highly equipped, wet-chemical laboratory areas with a design suitable for automated operation. To meet demand, building T is to be converted and expanded into a laboratory building. The office cubes arranged on the north side of the hexagonal building and the central hall are to be partially demolished and the technical equipment completely dismantled. The newly available spaces, between the two partially demolished cubes, are to be "inserted" into the existing building. In this new building, all highly equipped rooms, such as laboratories and hazardous material stores, as well as the majority of the central technology and technical services, are to be housed on three floors, including a basement. The "core" of the new area is to be the AI-controlled automated laboratory, which is to be created on the ground floor. On the floor above, wet chemistry laboratories with evaluation workstations are to be created, which can be subdivided into several laboratory rooms. The future building T is to have a NUF of approx. 1,400 m² (approx. 3,370 m² BGF), with the planned usage areas distributed as follows: - 80 m² chemical store, approx. 440 m² each robot-operated AI-supported large chemistry laboratory, approx. 440 m² wet chemistry laboratories, approx. 340 m² office space, approx. 100 m² storage space. For the NUF 7, a space requirement of approx. 100 m² has been determined, and for the technical areas approx. 500 m². The estimated total construction costs (KG 200 to 700) for the conversion and expansion amount to approx. 22,800,000 € net. During the planning phase, cost estimates are to be prepared separately for the costs of the extension and the conversion/renovation of the existing structure and combined in a summary. Further details can be found in the measures and performance description in Annex 07 and the drawing documents in Annex 08. Further project details will be provided in the second stage of the procedure. The project book will be sent to the selected bidders with the invitation to tender. The subject of this VgV tendering procedure are the required services of "Building Design" according to § 34 in conjunction with Annex 10 of the HOAI 2021 in the LPH 1 to 9, plus special services. A detailed description of the services can be found in Annex 04. Special note regarding bidder questions due to special external events (e.g. SARS-COV-2 or Ukraine war): Please consider possible or recognisable impairments in your offer, e.g. with regard to the availability of materials and products, labour, a possible delay in the submission of required evidence, effects on possible subcontractors, etc. We ask you to submit any questions arising in this context in good time before the tender deadline via the eVergabe messaging system.
