The VRH will conclude a framework agreement with one supplier for the procurement of firefighter turnout gear and the associated services during the period of cooperation. By turnout gear is meant the trousers and jacket that the firefighters wear during an incident, optionally with accessories. This clothing must therefore at least meet the EN 469:2020 standards, X2, Y2 and Z2. The employees are diverse in sizing and gender, the clothing must be available in a fitting manner for all employees. The VRH provides two personal sets per employee in operational service. The sets must provide protection during firefighting (heat) but also offer basic protection against chemicals and external influences. Wearability, visibility and appearance are important. The VRH opts for a separate jacket and trousers with suspenders in the gold yellow colour and wants to align with the Huisstijl turnout gear firefighters Netherlands. The intention is to provide all approximately 850 operational employees with two new sets. During the contract period, orders will be placed for new employees, replacement in case of damage, wear and tear or other necessity.
