Sweden – Water transport services – Inrikessjöfart och specialsjöfart

FörsvarsmaktenSwedenPublished on May 19, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The Swedish Armed Forces' organisational units require civilian actors for sea transport in archipelago and inland waterway navigation to enable transport to and from different areas and islands along Sweden's coast, lakes and canals when their own capacity is insufficient. The need arises, for example, in daily operations in the form of training and maintenance of various military systems, and during exercises and operations when the units' own resources are not sufficient. The need is national but can be divided regionally and covers the entire Swedish coastline, lakes and canals. What needs to be transported can be both military and civilian personnel as well as materiel. There is also a need for special maritime transport in connection with specific missions, such as salvage, cable-laying vessels and icebreaking.
