Germany – Construction work for buildings relating to education and research – Neubau Schulcampus Greifswalder Straße (SCG)
Description
On a former commercial site to the east of Erfurt's city centre, a new school campus is to be created, among other things. The building plot forms the southern boundary of the "Greifswalder Straße residential quarter", which is currently in the planning stage, and is bordered to the east by a future ring road and the railway embankment. A local supplier will be located to the south of the building plot, and residential buildings of the "Hanseviertel" are located to the west. The three building structures of the sports hall, primary school, and secondary school together form the building ensemble of the new school site at Greifswalder Straße. The contiguous building figure closes the block edge of the Greifswalder Straße residential quarter to the south. The building offset divides the plot into three open spaces, and roof overhangs create weather-protected entrance areas and clearly legible addresses. The public path running north-south for pedestrians and cyclists is integrated into the access system of the campus. The connecting path, together with a forecourt, forms the spatially defined entrance situation of the sports hall and the primary school. The campus concept continues inside the buildings. Thus, due to the proximity of the two schools to each other, some functional areas can be used jointly. Synergies arise, in particular, in the areas of the auditorium/canteen and parts of the administration and the economic areas. The administrations of both schools are located on the ground floor at the respective facade, which allows a view of the associated schoolyard. Other specialist rooms such as workshops and school kitchens (primary school) or art, music and biology (secondary school) are also located on the ground floor. The respective community areas of the two schools are opposite each other on the ground floor, the intervening open space is covered. Thus, joint celebrations and events can also be implemented. In the upper floor of the primary school, apart from the computer room, there are only the learning worlds with linked differentiation areas. Outside of school hours, these spacious rooms are also available for use by a day-care centre. The uses are distributed in the three building structures as follows: Building A: Three-court sports hall with a hall dimension of 45.00 x 22.00 m with ground-floor ancillary rooms: 6 changing rooms, 3 sanitary areas and 3 equipment rooms. Building B: Primary school for 320 pupils and 30 teachers on 2 floors: Ground floor: canteen, auditorium, school kitchen, workshop and administration. First floor: 8 large classrooms ("learning world"), 4 division rooms and a computer room. Basement: Partial area: underground car park. Building C: Secondary school for 600 pupils and 60 teachers on 3 floors: Ground floor: auditorium, administration, physics classrooms, music, art. 1st floor: 12 classrooms, biology and MNT classrooms. 2nd floor: 12 classrooms, chemistry and MNT classrooms. All further details can be found in the tender documents.
