This unusual decision for Val Touraine Habitat is notably motivated by the technical challenge posed by the demolition-reconstruction of all the balconies of the low-rise buildings on an occupied site. These works, directly linked to the structure of the buildings and to the safety of the occupants, require particularly close coordination between the various interventions. The execution of the works in the presence of the tenants also imposes a rigorous phasing, reinforced safety measures, as well as continuous management of access and nuisances. In this context, the multiplication of interfaces between several contractors could generate difficulties.
