The municipal association of Langenlonsheim-Stromberg was formed on 01.01.2020 from the merger of the municipal association of Langenlonsheim and the municipal association of Stromberg. The municipal association has approximately 24,000 inhabitants in 17 member municipalities. The total planning area has a size of 129 km². For the formerly independent municipal associations, there are legally binding land use and landscape plans, which have been supplemented over the years by partial updates and individual changes. The merger gives rise to the need to combine the urban development of the new municipal association in a uniform, overarching planning framework. Until the new planning framework comes into effect, the existing land use plans of the two former municipal associations remain in force. The land use plans for the two former municipal associations are digitized. The landscape plans, however, are not. There is an editorial update of the land use plan, which will be provided in the second stage of the procedure. The contracting authority intends to draw up a new land use plan for the area of the municipal association, taking into account the existing land use plans.
