Belgium – Refuse recycling services – Inzameling en verwerking van afgedankte matrassen

IVAGO wishes to enter into a collaboration with a service provider that ensures the circular processing (collection, pick-up, acquisition and effective recycling) of mattresses delivered to the 6 recycling parks and/or collected from door-to-door. The service provision takes place in accordance with the rules and regulations established by VALUMAT. The collaboration is entered into for a period of three years and is extendable by 1 year. The service provision starts on 1 July 2026. The tenderer must provide a circular, logistical total solution and this assignment includes, among other things: - sufficient and timely delivery (plus management: timely emptying and restoring where necessary) of the manually (by 1 person) movable collection bins for the 6 recycling parks of IVAGO in accordance with the expected tonnage. - the weekly transport of the contents of these collection bins from the 6 recycling parks to the processing location. - the processing plant itself, where all mattresses are separated into the various recyclable fractions (e.g. PUR, latex, metal, wood, textile fractions...) and the further compliant, circular processing of all these sub-streams including the residual fraction. The assignment concerns the complete processing of this material stream. In other words, the bidder must demonstrate that he optimally transforms the waste material (both mattresses with metal springs and those without springs) into the various sub-fractions, raw materials, which are almost directly usable for the production of finished products, with qualities that meet European standards, as well as a as circular as possible processing method of all by-products and residual streams, which may be released during this recycling process. All transports must also take place as efficiently as possible, from the processing plant to the various final processors.
