Switzerland – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – Projekt Mitholz: Räumung ehemaliges Munitionsdepot, Mandat Generalplaner Zwischennutzung Anlage TP 2

During the Second World War, an underground military ammunition storage facility was built in Mitholz BE. In 1947, part of the stored ammunition exploded. The risk assessment of the remaining ammunition storage facility carried out at the time was classified as non-critical. New risk assessments from 2018 and 2020 have shown a higher risk than previously assumed. The Federal Council decided on 04.12.2020 to clear the former ammunition storage facility and commissioned an expanded project organisation to plan and prepare the corresponding works. The present invitation to tender is for the mandate "General Planner Interim Use Facility" within the sub-project TP 2 "Buildings and Constructional Support". The sought mandate holder will assume the role of general planner for demolition, renovation and conversion work, so that the existing underground facility can be adapted to the requirements of future processes of ammunition disposal. The focus of the tendered activity is on tasks as an architect, HVAC planner and civil engineer, and safety and environmentally relevant services are also part of the tasks.
