In the framework of the new Lyon-Turin railway link project, the company TELT, as the contracting authority, is the public promoter responsible for the construction and management of the cross-border section of the future infrastructure. TELT has set specific objectives in its environmental policy aimed at minimising the use of substances hazardous to the environment, in its production processes and throughout the value chain. This strategy leads TELT to act with the aim of adopting a precautionary principle as a priority and not introducing into the environment substances that could generate negative environmental effects, even if these, in the present case, are not yet subject to production and use restrictions for the construction sector, in accordance with the applicable legislation. The subject of the present public contract is to provide specialised technical consulting services and assistance to TELT to implement the above-mentioned objectives and, more specifically, to support the contracting authority in its activity with highly specialised technical content, consisting of accompanying and supervising the evaluation process relating to the presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in materials as well as the management of any environmental risk potentially associated with companies.
