Description

The City of Bielefeld intends to construct a new retention soil filter (RBF) at the Bockschatzhof site for the treatment of rainwater as part of rainwater management. The facility will be built with a filter area of 5,000 m2 and a throttled water flow of 250 l/s. The RBF will be located on the site of the existing sand trap basin of the HRB Bockschatzhof, part of which will be partially built over. The inflow will be via a closed rainwater channel ON 2400 with a coarse material retention system upstream. The two-part filter will be dimensioned according to the RBF Handbook NRW and DWA-A 178 and will serve to treat rainwater within the existing retention space. The construction costs KG 300/400 are estimated at a total of 5.0 million EUR net.
