Germany – Architectural services for buildings – Neubau (Aufstockung) ehemaliges CJD-Gebäude in Vaihingen Enz

The enactment of the Comprehensive Education Promotion Act (GaFöG) establishes a legal entitlement to full-day education and care for children of primary school age in Baden-Württemberg, starting from grade 1 from the 2026/2027 school year. To implement this legal entitlement, the city of Vaihingen an der Enz plans to transform existing care elements in the municipal property at Schlossbergstraße 28 (CJD-Werkstätten) into flexible school childcare with extended care offerings before and after school. This will involve partial demolition of the existing building and construction of a new building (approx. 840 m² NGF) on the existing basement. There is already an approved plan (performance level performance phase 3), which is the mandatory basis for further planning. The documents will be made available to the selected bidders in stage 2.
