The Land of Hesse and the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen intend to construct a new institute building for the Department of Psychology. The building will house the currently only German Excellence Cluster with a psychological focus, in which research will be conducted using the most modern methods of behavioural and neuroscience. The processing of the research program in interdisciplinary teams requires an expansion and spatial integration of researchers from various specialisation areas in an integrative building, room, and large equipment concept. The building is to be constructed at the northern boundary of the Campus for Cultural and Humanities, in the area of the Philosophikum I, in the immediate vicinity of the "International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture" (GCSC). Negotiated procedure pursuant to § 17 VgV for the award of engineering services: structural design (§ 51 HOAI 2021).
