Germany – Building demolition and wrecking work and earthmoving work – Rückbau des Klinikaltbaus "Klinik am Eichert, Göppingen"

ALB FILS KLINIKUM GmbH has completed the new construction of its hospital site "Klinik am Eichert" at Eichertstraße 3, 73035 Göppingen by mid-2025. Following the completion of the new main hospital building construction, the demolition of the old main hospital building is now planned. As part of the planned demolition, the entire above-ground building structure, the two basements UG1 and UG2, as well as the existing outdoor facilities and surface pavements including substructure in the construction site are to be demolished and the resulting construction waste (mineral and non-mineral waste, hazardous and non-hazardous) disposed of externally. The main challenges of the planned demolition include the immediately adjacent hospital operations and the associated requirements for emission control (dust, noise, vibrations, pollutant emissions) as well as an optimised site logistics. Additionally, the selective building demolition is associated with high nature conservation requirements for the construction execution, which are regulated, among other things, by a nature conservation exception permit.
