DB InfraGO AG plans and implements the construction of a combined rail and road immersion tunnel in the Fehmarn Belt. The project will be realised in all relevant performance phases as a rail partnership model (IPA). The investment sum for this project is estimated at EUR 3.49 billion. Approximately EUR 100 million of this has already been settled through an existing contract. The newly tendered insurance contract will replace the existing contract. A construction period until 31.12.2033 is currently planned. The insurance contract will commence after the completion of the tendering procedure with the date of the award following a currently existing preliminary cover. (Type M) The liability insurance coverage amount per claim is EUR 25,000,000 in total for personal, property, and financial losses, including the benefits from the environmental liability insurance. The planning liability insurance has a separate coverage amount of EUR 10,000,000 per claim in total for property and financial losses. The aforementioned amounts are tripled. The Extendend Maintenance in the construction and assembly insurance part amounts to 42 months. The subsequent liability in liability insurance is 10 years, in environmental liability and environmental damage insurance 5 years. The general deductible is at least EUR 25,000. The deductible does not apply to personal injuries. The extended planning cover is included in the planning liability insurance. The deductible for the extended planning cover is EUR 100,000. In particular, coverage amounts, deductibles and capacities are subject to negotiations.
