The NaturGut Ophoven is an environmental education centre in Leverkusen-Opladen, offering numerous educational programmes on the topics of nature, energy, climate and environmental protection, and serving as a place for recreation and learning for the population of Leverkusen. The environmental centre, located on a listed estate, Gut Ophoven, in the middle of a 60,000 square meter nature experience park, consists of several building sections. There are a total of six buildings on the property at Talstr. 4, 51379 Leverkusen: Burg, Administration, Exhibition, Barn, Greenhouse, and a bicycle carport, from various years of construction. The NaturGut was severely damaged by the flood in 2021. Due to the high degree of destruction of the technology, a complete redesign of the site was created. The outdated technology and space requirements were brought up to the current standard in the planning, and a new fire protection assessment was carried out. The present tender includes steel construction work.
