The City of Hörstel intends to award planning services for the energy renovation of the indoor swimming pool in Hörstel-Riesenbeck. The building stock dates back to 1965 and has thus been in operation for around 60 years. In the meantime, maintenance and renovation measures have been carried out in parts. The swimming hall has a sporty-functional but architecturally and spatially high-quality, preservable quality in compact lightness of the 1960s. Through the energy and technical renovation, the indoor pool is to be brought up to the current state of the art and functional deficiencies as well as operational aspects are to be optimized. The character of the building is to be preserved. Due to the extremely long period of use of the indoor pool, the technical systems and also structural parts of the building fabric are in urgent need of renovation. The renovation is to include the following measures: energy renovation of the building envelope; renovation and modernization of the technical and pool water technical systems incl. extension of a technical room; preservation of the combination pool (optimization through stainless steel lining); optimization of operational aspects; elimination of functional deficiencies; improvement of barrier-free use. A grant notification (project funding) is available for the project for the "Program for Rational Energy Use, Renewable Energies and Energy Saving - progres.nrw - Program Area Energy-Efficient Public Buildings". Completion is scheduled for early 2029 due to the funding. The costs (KG 300 - 500 and 700) of the measure are currently estimated at around 6.0 million euros / net.
