Belgium – Instruments for measuring flow, level and pressure of liquids and gases – Raamcontract voor de aankoop debietmeters in kader van operationeel debiet meten

This contract is a framework agreement for the purchase of flow meters for operational flow measurement at the Hydrological Information Centre of the Water Engineering Laboratory. At more than 40 locations, flow velocities are continuously measured with H-ADCP devices that display the average flow velocity every 10s in various cells. These average flow velocities, along with the measured water level, are processed into discharges, which are then calibrated to the best available discharges for the respective stations every 5’ to 15’ via regular discharge measurements. Since the knowledge and quality of these discharges are very important for daily water management, we, as a measurement service, must try to reduce downtime to a minimum and keep the quality as high as possible. In case of a device failure, we must be able to mount an equivalent alternative device and recalibrate it within a few days. To this end, we need to have a limited stock of flow meters and accessories and wish to achieve uniformity by implementing this.
