Section 130a Paragraph 8 SGB V allows health insurance funds and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework discount contracts for medicines to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory health insurance funds. With regard to the relevant legal provisions for the award of public contracts, a regular process of substance-related, formal tendering procedures according to the regulations of Part 4 of the GWB is carried out by the DAK-Gesundheit. For the medicines to be specified by the bidder in Annex 2 to the contract for the above-mentioned substance Estriol (exclusively dosage form VCR), ATC G03CD01, the DAK-Gesundheit intends to conclude medicine discount contracts with as many interested pharmaceutical companies as possible until new medicine discount contracts come into force. A discount contract under the approval model for the above-mentioned substance comes into force for the first time on 01.04.2026 and ends on 31.03.2028 (plus extension option 1x12 months). It ends automatically with the entry into force of the exclusive contract, regardless.
