Description

Cleaning services and window cleaning at approximately 14 locations under the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). SDU is an independent institution, which is economically and administratively dependent on the State and subject to the currently applicable announcement of the law on universities (University Act). SDU currently has 6 campuses, the largest of which is located in Odense. The remaining 5 campuses are located in Esbjerg, Kolding, Vejle, Sønderborg and Copenhagen. In addition, SDU has a number of smaller locations throughout Denmark, as well as in Flensburg, Germany. More information about all of SDU’s locations can be read at www.sdu.dk. Further information about SDU can be obtained at http://www.sdu.dk/om_sdu, where SDU's procurement policy can also be found. Cleaning services for SDU include ongoing internal cleaning of premises and cleaning-related service tasks. The types of premises include, among others, auditoriums, teaching premises, reading rooms, study spaces, canteen areas/breakfast rooms, administrative areas in the form of offices, meeting rooms and group rooms, laboratories, including GMO laboratories class 1 and 2, isotope class B and C and Biological agents class 1 and section rooms etc. Window cleaning includes internal and external facade glass, as well as polishing of internal glass and skylights etc. Cleaning services and window cleaning are currently carried out by external suppliers (the scope of the tender is set out in tender document A). Contract Annex 2 and 3 including annexes contain a detailed description of the tendered Service. The tender is not divided into sub-contracts. This is due to a desire for a uniform quality and service level across SDU’s locations, the need for effective coordination and management of cleaning and window cleaning services and the desire to reduce the administrative costs associated with contract management, follow-up and invoicing. Furthermore, it is assessed that a combined contract provides the opportunity for economies of scale and more flexible use of resources between the locations to the benefit of both operations and economy.
