No deadline given

Description

In the context of the urban redevelopment of the Nordkopfquartier in the centre of Wolfsburg, the area of the Bahnhofspassage, as an important link between the city centre and the main station, is to be reinterpreted from a planning perspective. The planning area has a size of approx. 9,800 m², with a map extract attached as an appendix. From a landscape planning perspective, it is necessary to upgrade the important pedestrian and car-free route so that it meets the requirements of a safe, lively and attractive movement and stay zone and functionally connects subsequent street and square situations. The design task includes the development of an integrated concept that takes into account climatic adaptation strategies, rainwater management with a focus on sponge city principles, urban usage requirements and design quality equally. Aspects of monument preservation are also to be included, primarily in the area of Sara-Frenkel-Platz. The planning objective is to develop an innovative, high-quality and at the same time implementable concept for a climate-resilient, multifunctional and identity-creating pedestrian zone. The subject of the contract to be awarded is the planning of public open spaces (Section 39 HOAI) including path construction and drainage systems for the implementation of the sponge city principle.
