The purpose of the tender is the procurement of de-icing salt for winter maintenance on state roads in the federal state of Steiermark. The annual requirement for de-icing salt for winter maintenance on state roads is 30,000 t per winter period, on average. In the observation period of the last 10 years, the lowest consumption was approximately 22,000 t and the highest consumption was approximately 48,000 t. However, the contracting authority guarantees an annual take-up quantity of 20,000 t of de-icing salt (minimum take-up quantity).
