Description

Under the procurement procedure with a selection competition according to § 17 and § 74 VgV, an engineering office for the drainage planning of the new construction and renovation of Gymnasium Unterrieden in Sindelfingen is to be determined. The drainage planning includes both the planned extension new building of the school and any necessary measures on the existing buildings on the entire site. The site has an area of approximately 27,000 m². In addition to the existing school building, a sports hall and a sports field are located on the site, as well as the planned extension new building of the school. The GFA of the extension new building is approximately 930 m². The flood proofing must also be provided for the entire site. Gymnasium Unterrieden was built in 1979 and consists of a three-storey main building and a three-court sports hall. In the school year 2025/2026, a total of 769 students attend Gymnasium Unterrieden. The grades 5 to 12 are conducted in four streams. With the introduction of the nine-year Gymnasium (G9) in the school year 2025/2026, the number of students will change, but the school will remain four-stream. The science classrooms are largely in their original condition and do not meet either today's pedagogical requirements or current technical standards. The required classrooms can basically be accommodated by a restructuring of the existing areas within the existing buildings. In addition, based on the model space programme for a four-stream Gymnasium in G9 operation, there are space requirements in the areas of full-day rooms, differentiation rooms and an additional classroom. In 2025, a preliminary investigation was carried out by the office Zimmermann und Nagel Architekten. The results were presented to the municipal bodies in October 2025 and a fundamental decision was made to renovate the science classrooms and to extend the school as part of the introduction of G9. The classrooms are to be comprehensively renovated and restructured. To cover the additional space requirements, the existing school is to be extended by a compact two-storey new building, which is to be used as an interim building during the renovation of the classrooms. The urban integration and the concrete design of the building structures are to be examined in variants in the further planning process. The construction measure is to be implemented during ongoing school operations. For this purpose, a construction and moving concept with suitable construction sections and relocations is to be developed in order to keep the impairments to the school operations as low as possible. Room enlargements within the existing structure are possible by moving corridor walls; an extension of the existing areas by moving the outer façades is not planned. The science classrooms to be renovated in the existing building comprise a usable area of around 1,400 m². To cover the additional space requirements, the extension new building with a required usable area of around 540 m² is planned. The gross costs for the general renovation of the classrooms, including the extension new building, amount to approximately €12.3 million for cost groups 200 to 700, as determined in the preliminary investigation. Planning will start immediately after the award of the contract. The selection committee is scheduled for week 44/2026, and the bidder discussions are scheduled to take place in week 50/2026, according to the current status. Further documents/plans will be received in the 2nd phase of the procedure. Application as a consortium is possible (the form 234 is to be completed accordingly). In the case of consortia, the information and references are to be considered in total for the consortium. The reference is also considered fulfilled if the service was provided as the responsible project manager in another office. In this case, a written confirmation from the other office or the client must be submitted regarding the responsible project management.
