Kalundborg Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (hereafter “KCR”) is to be expanded as a consequence of industry in Kalundborg Municipality increasing its discharge in the coming years. The expansion of KCR (hereafter “the Project”) will increase the biological capacity of the plant, improve overflow control, provide new sludge dewatering and removal of environmentally harmful substances through third and fourth treatment stages. The Project is realised through a series of tenders within building and construction, machinery and electrical, system suppliers and SRO. Kalundborg Renseanlæg A/S (”Contracting Authority” or "Purchaser") has entered into a total consulting agreement with Envidan A/S, which is responsible for technical consulting and assistance, design, construction management and process specialist consulting in connection with the realisation of the Project. The Contracting Authority hereby tenders, in a total enterprise system supply to the Project, a new post-denitrification tank with associated intermediate pumping station, chemical dosing plant, blower building and 10,000 m3 equalisation basin with associated inflow pumping station. This tender includes only the M&E enterprise related to the aforementioned system supply. Building and construction works related to realising the above works are not included in the present tender, but are tendered in a separate tender. The tender contains the following options:

Furthermore, the tender list contains a number of variable services (time- and unit prices) which will only be carried out if a need arises for them in the Project. The Contracting Authority has considered whether the procurement can be further divided, but the Contracting Authority has assessed that further division will involve a number of impractical technical and legal interfaces with the resulting risk of obstacles in the implementation phase as well as derived transaction costs.
