Germany – Contractor's all-risk insurance services – Projektversicherung für das Bauvorhaben Projekte Siemensbahn

DB InfraGO AG plans to reactivate the out-of-service double-track section of the Siemensbahn between the stations Jungfernheide and Gartenfeld in Berlin. The newly constructed section will be built as a double-track S-Bahn line and is intended to provide fast connections for the future project "Siemensstadt Square" to the main station and to Berlin Brandenburg Airport. To this end, the entire superstructure, including sleepers and rails, must be newly constructed. The investment sum for this project is estimated at approximately EUR 1.1 billion. Of this, approximately EUR 40 million has already been settled via an existing contract. The newly tendered insurance contract will replace the existing contract. A construction period until 30.06.2030 is currently planned. The insurance contract will commence after the completion of the tendering process on the date of the award following a currently existing preliminary cover. (Type M) The liability insurance coverage amount per claim is EUR 25,000,000 in total for personal, property, and financial losses, including the benefits from the environmental liability insurance. In the planning liability insurance, a separate coverage amount of EUR 10,000,000 per claim is available for property and financial losses. The aforementioned sums are tripled. The Extended Maintenance in the Construction and Assembly Insurance part amounts to 42 months. The subsequent liability in the liability insurance is 10 years, in the environmental liability and environmental damage insurance 5 years. The general deductible is at least EUR 25,000. The deductible is waived for personal injuries. The extended planning cover is included in the planning liability insurance. As part of the extended planning cover, the deductible is EUR 100,000.
