Czechia – Groundwater pollution treatment or rehabilitation – SEZ – Ochranné čerpání podzemních vod - kontaminační mrak č. 11 společnosti ORLEN Unipetrol a.s. Litvínov

The subject of this public contract is the performance of activities according to the project documentation entitled “Protective pumping of groundwater KM11 of ORLEN Unipetrol, a.s. Litvínov, Project for the award of a public contract”, prepared in November 2025 (updated version) by the company VODNÍ ZDROJE, a.s., which is Annex No. 3 ZD. The subject of the performance is the pumping of the protective perimeter drain KM11 and four remediation wells, the discharge of pumped waters to the BČOV of ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o. and their treatment, the monitoring of the pumped waters of the drain and wells, and the maintenance and cleaning of the remediation and monitoring system for the entire duration of the contract. The purpose of operating the drain and pumping the wells is to create a hydraulic depression that prevents the outflow of contaminated waters from the contamination plume No. 11 outside the company's site. The pumping of the drain wells also has a remediation effect, during which contamination dissolved in groundwater is removed from the site. The protective pumping results from the decision of the ČIŽP, in which the legal entity is ordered: “To prevent the spread of contamination of groundwater between individual foci of contamination and outside the site, especially in the direction of the river Bíliná.”
