General information on the construction site: The 11-storey residential block at Körnerstraße 9-10 is part of the pilot project for the further development of urban renewal funding in Erfurt Southeast. The residential block is located in a prominent position on the Kammweg and is thus widely visible in the cityscape. The large housing estate Herrenberg was built in the 1970s, and the Körnerstraße building was constructed at the beginning of the 1980s. The massive effect of the building is broken up by the creation of a building joint between Körnerstraße 9 and 10. The main entrance to the building is via a three-storey new build within the building joint. Access to the renovated apartments is via external walkways. Körnerstraße 10 will have an extension for day care facilities and a senior residence.
