This public contract concerns the collection, transport and processing of wood waste categories A and B originating from recycling parks and kerbside collection within the contractor's area of operation. Wood waste category A includes untreated wood, while category B refers to treated or painted wood that is not considered hazardous waste. The selective collection of these fractions is essential to enable correct recycling or energy recovery and to avoid mixing with other waste streams. The processing of wood waste must be carried out in accordance with the applicable environmental regulations and in facilities licensed to do so. By separate collection and processing of categories A and B, optimal material or energy recovery is aimed for, in line with the existing materials policy and recycling targets. The contract therefore consists of:

Lot 2: Collection, transport and processing of wood waste category B

The current arrangement for this waste stream expires on 31 December 2026. In order to ensure the continuity of the service and compliance with legal obligations, a new public contract will commence on 1 January 2027.
